I'm ordering a new bow this week. I'll be shooting spots both indoor and out.
I see no advantage to the Spiral cams other then a little speed.
Your thoughts (Hoyt-em)

First, don't bother with the XL...stay with the PCE. The gain in ATA (from all suggestions/readings) isn't viable.

2nd: consider your age (no joke), the condition of your shoulders from years of shooting, and the amount of shooting you KNOW you will do.

I switched to spirals this year. putting it politely...they keep ya honest on the back wall. They will make you execute a better shot. But it comes at a cost...if your not shooting them very regular like, you will hate them.

Fat fingers posted to early.

Spirals offer advantages for let off adjustments...currently, mine are st 60%, and at one time I had the set at 55%.

GTX...MUCH FRIENDLIER DRAW, squat for let off adjustability, smidgeon slower (all ya have to is clear the ceiling tho...)and are an itty bit more finicky for tuning.

So...if your an old fart that is going to put down the bow for a month or longer for periods, who has shoulder aches...get GTX

Clear as mud??

Wow!!! I feel old. But I shoot at least 3 times a week. I don't like a soft wall. It makes me lazy.
Your the second person that said to go with the shorter bow and spirals.

I know of one XL in the area...

3x a week=spirals, with out question.

If your a guy who likes a higher holding weight...get the 50# limbs (52ish maxed) and just drop the let off.

That bow aims sooooo easy, it ain't funny. If I hadn't of gone VE+ last fall...I would be all over the PCE.

Thanks Jim. Good advise.

I have a PCEXL with 60 pound spirals on the way. Getting anxious!
