Post your notable quotes from wherever you find them: overheard on the street, or from politics, show biz, music, poetry, literature, $#!+ your dad says....You get the idea.

Discuss quietly among yourselves.

I'll go first. I heard this one a year or two ago in a TV interview, and it's been burning a hole in my pocket ever since. :-)

"I have to say, you know, I...This administration seems to have done for deception what Stonehenge has done for rocks."

Good one.

One of my favorites. Saw this carved on a bathroom stall door years ago.

"Don't cry on my shoulder babe, you're rusting my spurs."

"If Elvis Presley had been a bowhunter, he'd probably be alive today."

-----Ted Nugent

"I think I'm starting to run out of things to post. Oh wait, I'll post The Official Excellent Quotes Thread. Whew, that was close."

From the song "Waitin On Hank" by Dry Country.............

"Don't pi** with the puppies then cr** in the big dog's yard!"
8.) Hunter - 02/13/2015
Another country classic, "Hitchhiker" by Bo Phillips Band..............

"Never hitch a ride with someone crazier than you!"
9.) Wild Bob - 02/13/2015
Ok, I gotta chime in here...

"So walking is better than driving, a bow is better than a rifle, a recurve is better than a compound." - Allen Morris Jones (author of 'A Quiet Place of Violence')

Excellent choices!

Hunter, it's weird: I was listening to that Bo Phillips songs several weeks ago! I can't remember why or how I found it, though, LOL.

I'm off to look up more Dry Country stuff...

In the meantime, and in the spirit of Valentine's Day:

"How Can I Miss You, If You Won't Go Away?"

"I Still Miss You Baby, But My Aim's Gettin' Better"

"I'm So Miserable Without You, It's Like Having You Here"

and for the lucky ones:

"Her Teeth Was Stained, But Her Heart Was Pure"

:wink
