I know we have some guys (or used to have some guys) who liked these stands a lot. Apparently the company was out of commission for quite a while for reasons I don't fully know, but they've transitioned to make some of the stands and parts available again through Buck Horn Outdoors, another NC company.

Here you go, for what it's worth:

looks to me that when you sit on the stand your feet hang out past the platform.... that may be a bit of an issue lol

I agree, that looks really funky unless the seat moves toward tree after climbing mode maybe.

That's exactly what it does.

Also, many hunters, especially gun hunters, like to sit facing the tree for better cover and for a convenient gun rest.

Usually, those stands will also have (or have available) a bar that can be used as a back rest or (when facing away from the tree) a gun rest.

It wouldn't surprise me if this technique is more common here than in other parts of the country.

What, you've never sat on the end of a diving board shooting arrows at rubber ducks? Same concept. :wink

I was never allowed out of the wading pool because of my bladder issues.

I wouldn't enjoy staring at a tree the whole time.

I sat in one years ago and was really impressed with it's comfort
