This poor guy apparently wanted to remain anonymous, at least originally. Goodbye to all that.

Interesting that so much is made in the article below of the need to explain the connection between successsful conservation efforts and big, mature animals.

My guess after reading this piece is that he got a lot of grief for killing this beast. I haven't had time to go looking, but if anyone has any info or can link me to stories exposing that angle, I'd appreciate it.
