Not sure if it counts or not. But at the archery shop we got started into 10 meter match rifles. Yes they are pellet rifles. Just a hell of a lot more accurate, and a whole lot more expensive. Most are PCP which you fill with a scuba tank. But the accuracy is amazing. We get to the shop on Saturdays 3 hours before the shop opens and set up the pellet range. One target at 10meters and one at 20. The targets can be just hit or you have to take out the complete dot, or there may be very small scoring rings like an archery target just a whole lot closer. We usually bet a dollar a round to make it fun. Average is about 35 spots to shoot at. Now you surely won't come in trying to shoot your Walmart pellet rifle against these. I have 2 10 meter rifles that cost an average of 2700.00 dollars. Yea OUCH. But hey you can't take it with you. I was getting my clock cleaned until I bought the second air rifle, the Walther LG400 Olympic 10 meter rifle. I now have been lucky enough to walk away ahead the last few shoots. But with the price of gun ammo lately, if you can find it, It makes for a lot of fun at a lot less the price. That is of course after you have paid the initial cost of your air rifle, And you have a way to fill up your tanks.
