1.) Swamp Fox - 07/24/2013
Here are the rules we have used in the past, modified where I have highlighted. I have the contest starting earlier, and have modified the team selection process as well as the kill reporting process. For any major problems with the rules or my changes, I am available for duels at dusk with either sabers or pistols...sunrise not so much. Call me lazy, but it's really just good time management.

1) Teams will be drawn at random at 6 PM Eastern Time on August 14. We will shoot for a minimum of three hunters per team. Deadline for signing up for the contest will be 5PM Eastern on the 14th. If you sign up for the contest after that time, you will be drawn for a team only after we have enough other late-comers to make TWO new teams by random drawing. All sign-ups must be done in the sign-up thread.

2) Each contestant will be able to score one deer, buck or doe.

3) Each contestant will be allow to cull his own deer so as to register his highest-scoring deer in substitution of another deer he might have registered earlier. He will not be allowed to cull for the other members of the team. This is team contest....let's keep it that way.

4) All contestants must follow the hunting regulations applicable to the area they are hunting.

5) Archery Equipment only. Crossbows welcome if legal in your hunting area.

6) Any deer must be registered with the contest administrator no later than 10 days after the kill. You must have picture proof of your kill. Register your kill by posting a picture in the special contest kill thread we will set up. If you want to post a story with your picture, you can do that in a separate thread if you wish, but all kill registrations must be made in the official contest kill thread. You are responsible for making sure your kill is registered, for providing a score to the administrator when you post your pic, and for making sure that your entry shows up in contest reporting stats. 7) Contest dates are between Aug. 15 and Feb.28.

Bucks will score 50 points for the kill and 10 points for each point over one inch. NO RING HANGERS. Must be one inch or better to score.

Does will score 100 points. We would like to encourage contestants to shoot a doe rather than an immature buck. Let's let them grow.
