Anybody ever build your own blinds? As it stands right now I have access to hunt another 120 acres and hopefully add an 80 acre and a 20 acre tract soon. The 120 is mostly pasture with scrub brush and small post oaks. It has very few trees big enough for tree stands, and those that are aren't in the best of spots. I need to build 2-4 blinds and get them out as soon as possible. They will be dual purpose blinds, bow hunted by the adults and gun hunted by the young uns. It needs to be big enough for two people to hunt, and possibly film out of. If you have plans, or pictures, or tips please share.

Here is the blind I built last year. Unfortunatly the food plot I put it over was washed away by a heavy rain so it never was really productive.

My blue prints.

Sorry I couldn't find a pic of it painted and installed. I built the 4 walls separately and then screwed together and added a roof in the field. The door is in the front right corner, the bottom piece hinges open. I used cheap black cloth from a fabric store to line the inside and black it out.

I know it seems like I answered my own question but I'm still looking for input from others as to what has worked for them.

Here's another question.
Who bow hunts out of a tripod let's say 12-15 ft tall at the platform? I've always thought you would be to open, but have talked to guys who swear by them. Your thoughts?

I did in Texas when I was hog hunting. It worked great. I just need to lose weight. Lol. Kinda hard to draw and hold when it's covered. But I've never been in a open tri stand.

I'll be building at least 2 more blinds this year. I'll take allot more pics
