I like it that March is here, and soon it will be warm again. But then again I'm not fond of March because of a few of the neighborhood birds. We have a pair of Cardinals for example, who this time of year, declare war on our car windows and mirrors. Yuck!

The solution which seems to work is to put plastic bags over the mirrors when we get out of the cars, but if we forget, more yuck; they paste... Yuck, yuck, yuck.

O well, it'll be over by mid May, most likely. :re:

You're lucky it's over in May!!! After the nesting season there is a small lull, but after that, reprocessed berries are their tool of choice.

Up until a couple of weeks ago we had a male cardinal that spent two months solid flying into and pecking one of our living room windows. He did this pretty much all day every day, to the point I was amazed that he didn't drop dead from constant cranial impact. Suddenly it just stopped and we never saw him again. It was the oddest thing.
