"We are told that the president is angry and White House officials are touting a high-level firing – but the firing isn’t a firing and the anger doesn’t seem to translate into action."

Does anybody take Obama's outrage seriously? Has this administration handled anything correctly yet?

Leadership

Good leadership espouse good subordinates.

Bad leadership espouse bad subordinates.

For the most part. One justifies one's action based about actual our perceived actions of those they lookup to and/or follow.

I see your report from 2008, and raise you a Carney...Claiming that the President learned of the problem from recent news reports...

It's a good thing we have newspapers, radio and television in this country.

Over the weekend, I laughed out loud and almost dropped my plate of bacon and eggs ----almost----when far left-wing loon Katrina vanden Heuvel of The Nation told the Sunday talk show panel this:

“Because I do think the V.A. has been the most effective, efficient health care system in this country over these last decades. And it was nickel and dimed under the Bush administration.”

Anybody that knows anyone that works at the VA or gets care at the VA knows that the first part is just laughably ridiculous, and anybody with an attention span of more than a couple of weeks knows that the second part is a lie.

In the Fiscal Year Bush became president, VA’s budget authority was $48.7 billion dollars. The year he left office, it stood at $99.4 billion.

Nickel and dimed? Slashed? No, it more than doubled. Yet no one on the panel, including host Bob Schieffer, questioned vanden Huevel’s [sic] assertion. This makes me wonder how mainstream media people prepare for these discussions. Do they simply review Jay Carney’s recent talking points?

Alex, do we need a forum category named "scandals"?
6.) Swamp Fox - 05/19/2014
LOL....

All this incompetence is good for the Obama administration...With so much going on, it's hard for people to focus on just one thing and get to the bottom of it.
7.) bluecat - 05/19/2014
Good point. Also, using the "dog ate my homework" excuse for everything is wearing a little thin.

Can Jay Carney be classified as an invertebrate?
8.) Swamp Fox - 05/19/2014
Weasels are mammals, so no...I think...Missed that day in biology class, to be honest...

It might not be so bad for BO if he hadn't been out there for years bloviating about how his administration was going to take care of vets like no other...I've lost a good clip somehow, but the hot air goes back six or seven years, at least. He used veterans' benefits as a wedge when he was running for 2008.

The left likes to talk about military quagmires...

Here's a quagmire for you:

So denying the veterans access to the war memorial in Washington D.C. during the shut down was not taking care of them?
11.) Swamp Fox - 05/19/2014
Um, no....:tap: ...

Less gray hair back then, but pretty much the same amount of sincerity:

Giggity.

I should have mentioned that the quagmire is on the left. On the right is Mr. Quagmire...

:wink

You have to admit though...it's impressive how much mileage he's able to get out of pleading ignorance when it comes to keeping the faithful defending someone they keep telling us is so much smarter than the last guy.

We should start a pool to pick how many years ago did The Maverick start to show signs of enfeeblement...Sorry, Senator, but it's true---or you were misquoted...Several times over the years...
