Ouch!! You poked me in my eye....! NOT

You are the one that did that son with your implications (Reaper33). I was the one that pointed out your indiscretion. Still upset, huh? But, you don't hold a grudge long do you? I didn't think so.

Why are you popping up and getting after me after being silent for so long (Rhetorical Question, no need to answer, we know)?

Here have a beer......

Wow! Looks cold and refreshing. Enjoy Cheers

Wish I had one...AR that is. Not much of a beer drinker.

Trying to decide. Want a red dot. Not sure I want to spend a lot of money until I try one. Any suggestions as to something that works pretty well but is not too pricey?
9.) Swamp Fox - 07/28/2014
You can try the cheap-o TruGlo just to see. Have only used it on a shotgun but don't see why it wouldn't give you a good enough idea of how you might like or not like the sight picture on a rifle. I'd try to match up dot size with what you might ultimately go with, though. Not sure you can find a cheaper red dot for testing purposes. It does have a bigger tube than some red dots but I don't think that will make a difference in your decision for or against a red dot. You could always go heads-up if you have concerns about field of view/tube diameter, and Burris makes a decent heads-up that isn't too pricey.

Not knowing exactly where the "a lot of money" line is I'll just mostly echo the general sentiment of Swampy's recommendation. I've played with the multi-reticle version of the TruGlo "Tru Brite" and thought it was a nice sight for the money, though given the talk about tubes and such I don't think that's the one that Swampy was referring to.
11.) Swamp Fox - 07/28/2014
The one I am thinking about has a 30 mm tube if I'm not mistaken...I think they call it the classic or some such...Last time I looked it was the last one displayed on their website. Around 50-60 bucks if I'm remembering right. I've shot it over 3-inch buckshot and it seems to be holding up.

for what I was talking about...

30, 40 or 42 mm tubes.

A bit higher MSRP than what I was estimating. I'm pretty sure I've seen them for significantly less than MSRP.
