1.) Wild Bob - 07/28/2014
So we ditched out this past weekend and did a short weekend camping trip close to home. We did a little fishing (although the wind severely limited that - first night and day we had 30 MPH winds with 60 MPH gusts = no fish caught), once the wind calmed down the following day we spent some time at the range and my boys put a severe dent in my .22 stock, shot our bows, took a couple of bike rides, eat good, drank good and enjoyed some peace and quiet.

Nothing fancy, but here's a few pictures...

He/she is clearly acting in a supervisory capacity to ensure that you do the job correctly, and I hope he/she was compensated accordingly for his/her good work.

That's quite a distance for that sort of shooting. Kudos to the young lad if he managed to put any rounds at all on such a small target from that range.

Nice Bob. Is that your property?
4.) Wild Bob - 07/28/2014
DParker: You nailed Bella's personality; she does think she is the supervisor! Good call.
RE shooting - Actually, he was able to put most of his shots on that paper. I was shocked when we went out and pulled it off the back stop. He
had a lot of fun doing it, and he has been pestering me ever since, asking when we could shoot the revolver again.
(I think it has something to do with the fact that he did better than his old man!!??!) :re:
5.) DParker - 07/28/2014
Taking the old man down a peg or two is always a huge bonus.
Nice Bob. Is that your property?
No, the camp area on lake is USACE (Army Corp. of Engineers) and the range is a public range. I wish it where! But really, they're both nice areas and I'm just thankful to be able to use them.
7.) Ventilator - 07/28/2014
Good deal. SC built a nice public range we use occasionally when we are down there as well.

Thanks for sharing Bob. Looks like a fun outing. What lake is that?

Thanks, it was fun. It is Fort Peck Lake.

Bob Peck has his own fort? That can't be good.

Great looking Brit! Mine is staring at me right now wondering why I'm 30 minutes late serving him his dinner.
12.) Swamp Fox - 07/28/2014
I'd blame Floyd and Ventilator...:wink

He'll know what you mean...

Don't worry...He's due to be shot in the face with a 12-pound mountain howitzer as he ascends the ramparts...

:wink

Thanks, the one in the picture is our female named Bella. As you can see she likes to guard any food! Our male is less interested in food and a bird hunting machine! (Although she is a good pointer too...its just that she love to eat as much as hunt...)

Show us some pics of your Brittany! :tu:

Hahahahahaha! Good one.

A little history if anyone is interested: This lake is actually named after the Fort Peck trading post that was on the Missouri River in the area that traded with the Sioux Indians and fur traders. The original fort was named after Colonel Campbell Peck; the fort later became the Indian Agency for the Fort Peck Reservation, which is the reservation of the Assiniboine and Sioux Tribes in Montana. Additionally, the lake was built as an FDR Public Works / Flood Control Project by the United States of Army Corps. of Engineers during the Depression.

So, could Bob Peck be a relation of Campbell Peck??? Inquiring minds what to know! :cf:
