This is how detached from reality some people have become:

Rabbit has been common table fare and a staple source of protein for centuries. That people have become so removed from what food really is...let alone where it comes from...no longer surprises me. But I was blind-sided by this one...
Rabbit protection groups, including the Colorado Chapter of the National House Rabbit Society, say rabbits are pets and not food.
Who knew there were groups that specialize in protecting nature's favorite fast food?

I think it all comes down to the "cuteness" factor. It these things had scaly legs like chickens no one would give a rat's ^&%. And you're right, these things have been keeping people alive forever.

That lady in the video, probably stopped by McDonalds on her way to the protest and got a sausage, egg, cheese and spam muffin to go.

I loved the assertion that it's hypocritical to oppose torturing an animal (via lab testing) and then quickly and humanely kill it for food. Her thinking has all the depth of a tea cup saucer.

Yep, how is this any different from any animal grown for meat?

They're eating their own and don't know it.

'...fast food.' Funny Bunny
