Here are the results from my 6 day, DIY backpack hunt in the West Elk Wilderness area of Colorado! Beautiful country, and an absolute blast. We backpacked in 7 miles, and hardly saw a soul. We saw several good bulls, but I just couldn't make it happen!

Cool!

Tell the story.

And yes, it can count for Team 3: Minus 50 points! :-)

Any more questions? :wink

Jess got most of the pictures of the trip and experience, but that's the easy part!

We backpacked in, brought my Kelty Gunnison 2.2 tent (awesome tent for pretty damn cheap!). All meals were either cooked over a beer can denatured alcohol stove, or over the fire. All meals were dried, boil water and pour in, one pot meals. I eat a ton of dried mashed potatoes, dried soups (I get the ones from the store that have a green package, dont remember the brand), and asian noodle packet things. One foil pouch of chicken per day.

Girlfriend!/buddy

She puts up with me after 6 days of not showering so Im gonna keep her

40 yard shot, she ran 200-220 yards. She didnt bleed for the first 80 yards but somehow Jess picked up the trail!
