Very cool! Good luck. I've picked out a few nice potholes to hunt once we open here on October 4th. :tu:

Whats coming through your area typically at this time of the season?
4.) bow-fishhunter - 09/25/2014
we have a lot of divers up here that nest, wood ducks are thick and your typical mallard and teal too. all local ducks besides the woodies and teal.

Hahahahhah! I had just that very experience one time: 'The curse of the Breakfast Burrito.'

This picture was taken about 7 years ago when I still lived in Tennessee; it was early duck season (mainly just teal hunting at that time in the season there). My oldest boy was 7 at the time and he was really excited because it was the first duck hunt he was going on with me. This picture was taken as we motored back after the hunt. Anyway, we get to this beautiful little bay that I wanted to hunt, get the floaters all set out, rig up the boat blind and are sitting there all of 10 minutes (hunting prime time at that point) and my son says, "Uh, Dad...where do go crap?"

Yep, that breakfast burrito from Mickey D's did its business on him. I tried to be understanding, but I knew how and when Murphy's Law comes a knockin' too. (We were set up on a little bar that had some brush growing up, not a stitch of solid ground that you could get to.) So there we go, untying the boat, taking down part of the blind, so I can motor him to shore to go...

Just as he finishes and is climbing back in the boat, the only flock of teal we saw that morning come barreling in and land in our decoy spread as we watch helplessly from about 70 yards away.

We laugh about it today, but that morning I was cussing the curse of the 'Breakfast Burrito.'
