New to this forum and need some advice. Ive been a gunhunter for a log time . decided two weeks ago to by a bo and try bohunting. today was my first time out. ive seen a lot of deer on some blm ground out my way. ive herd tree stands work good for deer so I borrowed one from a friend and set It up on a creek crossing like ive read about a lot in magazines and stuff. being a rifle hunter, its all new to me as I usually just spot an stock. anyways, this morning I got in my stand a little late as I over slept. I got lucky and a bunch of does and a little buck were soon headed my direction. the first deer was a little doe. I think the young ones taste best so I got ready to shot it. it got to about 15 yards and I came to full draw and looked down my arro towards the deer. it was facing me a little but Ive took that shot a lot with a gun and they drop right down. I hit the trigger and I saw my arro hit it rite in the front shoulder. she took off really fast and it looked like most of my arro was stickin out . dont think I got much penetration. I wanted to see wehre it went so I got down as fast as I could to go after it. all the other deer took off in the same direction so It made it hadrd to tell which track was the right one. I looked 10-15 minites and didn't see any blood so I figured it would probably live. my question is , hjow long should I waite until I hunt that spot again? u think I would see more deer if I got back in that same tree tomoro ? I reely appreciate any advise u can give me as It looks like a lot of yall hunt all the tiem.

Tell us about your bow - Archery equipment.

How long have you've been hunting/ gun hunting?

What other hunting type sites/forums you belong to?

Yep I'd be back in the same spot. It's a bow not a gun.Choose your shot better. more broad side. Think of sliding the arrow threw the chest.
