I'm sticking with my 2014 Hoyt CST and 2007 Bowtech Commander.

Since I couldn't figure out how to get anything out of that link besides the disaster movie announcer telling me how the Prodigy had Powershift Technology and that that was some bad-ass stuff, I'm prolly gonna wait til I can shoot one.

It's not that I don't trust those announcer guys, but still...

:wink

Hmmmm so....I got to shoot the prodigy, and as skeptical as I was, I gotta say that it was a shooter, to the point that I'm thinking hard about replacing my Commander.

pics and specs
5.) Swamp Fox - 02/03/2015
It's a sharp-looking bow but I couldn't find much on specs, not that I wore myself out. They're probably buried somewhere. The bow has three different performance settings, regulated by adjusting a module, so maybe somebody thought it would be too complicated for our little pea-brains to comprehend if they posted three different sets of speed numbers on the Bowtech website. Or at least they hid them pretty well.

What little I did find is it's a 7-inch brace and 32 ATA with an IBO rating of 343, which I assume is at the highest Performance module setting. Four point two pounds. You can get it in the usual MO or RT finishes, or Kryptek or black. No pink, though.

Carlos, what setting did you shoot the bow at, and how would you describe it? The Performance setting draw cycle looked pretty nasty to me, LOL.
7.) ARCHERXP - 02/03/2015
I shot it in the classic setting at 65 lbs. I'm gonna go back today to see if I can't shoot it in all the settings at 70lbs. I'll give you guys my thoughts later today.
8.) billy b - 02/03/2015
That is really interesting, I may be in the market:wink Thanks Carlos.

The Prodigy is best new now for 2015! A lot of shit will die from mine this year!

Where did you find the draw cycle? I tried the Prodigy again today at all three settings @ 65lbs. It was money. It reminded me of a slightly smoother Guardian. I shot it side by side with my Hoyt CST. If I get selected for major this/next month, I'm definitely getting the Boss.
11.) Swamp Fox - 02/07/2015
There's a short amount of footage of the reviewer drawing the bow in the video above. At the very end.

My impression of the Guardian was that it was smooth but too stiff for me all the way through the draw. I remember thinking I would need a new shoulder after shooting it all year, lol. I think I was trying it in the low to mid-60's.

How would you compare the Prodigy to the Boss?

Didn't get to shoot the Boss yet.

Soon I hope
