the thing i like about catfishing is its done mostly at night, its by trees, and theres really no effort into it

kinda sit back and relax and drink 12 or 18 beers..i think the best bait for catfish are those walmart shrimp.
2.) Ohbuckhunter - 03/10/2013
Best bait is yellow bellys, or live shad. And you must be drunk while do it.

fishing in general is always fun, this wiper i caught is by far the biggest fish i caught besides a carp.

lol i dont think i could catfish without drinking.. its like peanut butter and jelly the two just seem to go together..
5.) Ohbuckhunter - 03/10/2013
It's just like you have to have a hook to catfish. You have to have a case of beer as well.
6.) crookedeye - 03/10/2013
i dont think you even need a fishing rod to catfish...just make sure theres a cooler of beer..
7.) Ohbuckhunter - 03/10/2013

Oh baby that sounds like a ton of fun. Back in the 60's you could bow fish for them.
Every old tire under the water was the home of a nice big( 2ft or better ), channel cat and some times a blue.
One year on opening day/night of walleye season I caught 6 large cats. No walleyes, just the cats.

Doesn't look anything like me. I have shorter whiskers.
13.) CHRIS - 07/02/2013
BC I think he missed on your weight as well.
14.) Swamp Fox - 07/02/2013
Hey, Chris! Is that a new signature? I never noticed it before. That's one of my favorite quotes from one of my favorite books. :tu:

A live bream is probably the best bait for the biggest cats around here.
15.) bluecat - 07/02/2013
I have that book sitting on my dresser. It might be time to crack it.
16.) CHRIS - 07/02/2013
yes it is new. I just read it this morning on the Archery Wire and liked it. Is the book good? I need some new reading material.
17.) Swamp Fox - 07/02/2013
The book is excellent, as is one of his others, The Sacred Art of Hunting. I highly recommend finding that one as well.
18.) Swamp Fox - 07/02/2013
I haven't read anything else he might have done on hunting, except columns or short articles, so there might be some other good stuff out there.
19.) CHRIS - 07/02/2013
cool thanks!
