MMMM I'm gonna check the freezer for some venison.

Nice video. I remember years ago on AT people were saying that they missed deer because they shot into the void. :wink

Thanks for posting.

If I ever figure out the name of his target, I'll look it up and post the link. I have a Rinehart target with vitals on one side that I find semi-helpful. Not Rinehart- expensive, either.

One of if not the most mysterious non-recovered deer I ever shot or helped track was a classic for the "Void" excuse. I won't get into the ins and out of it since it's pretty much just you and me and three other guys reading, but if ever there was a time someone could light up the internet with a Void story, this was it.

I never believed in the void myself, but there definitely seem to be shots that we all think should be fatal that still don't result in a recovered animal, LOL. I think knowledge of each animal's anatomy is our friend, and we could all use a better mental connection between the shot we took and the shot we think we took, LOL.

Interesting video, I always found it interesting that when I opened a deer up I could never find an are that seemed like it had a void at anytime.
7.) Wild Bob - 01/23/2015
Heck...I lost myself in the Void once. :-)

There's a dirty joke in here some where:-)
