1.) Swamp Fox - 01/29/2015
As you all know, this is the time of year that I lead small groups or hardy individuals, especially college cheerleaders, deep into the swamps of the coastal plain in search of the Lizard Man, the Carolina Panther and Venus Flytrap.

So I was interested to see this about a sighting, on a trail camera, of an endangered Sierra Nevada red fox in Yosemite National Park. And it only took 11 posts and about one hour before the first lightly educated anti-hunter who couldn't even spell "wiener" correctly (neither can Anthony Weiner) popped her head out of her butt long enough to treat us, in the Comments section, to her opinion (although no one had mentioned hunting in the article or anywhere else). It went downhill from there.

But the good news is there's a rare red fox out there where no one knew before.

Sierra Nevada red fox, one of the rarest animals in North America, is spotted inside California wilderness park for the first time in nearly 100 years

What strange or rare things have you seen out there, or do you hope to?

Some of you already know this: the Carolinas are a hotbed of strange creatures and stranger doings...

4.) Swamp Fox - 01/29/2015
LOL...He wants a belly rub...

Can you blame him?
5.) BULLZ-i - 01/29/2015
YOU CANT BE AFRAID OF THOSE CAROLINA PANTHERS

6.) bluecat - 01/29/2015
I hope to see Jon, StringTwister, Pastor Bob, OKY, JB, DParker and so many others who have left us for greener pasturers come back in and set a spell.
7.) bluecat - 01/29/2015
Oh and Bigfoot...
8.) Swamp Fox - 01/29/2015
JB's still out there, at least as of Christmas. We didn't conversate, though.

It's getting to be time to talk beads and mudbugs with the old coot...
9.) Deerminator - 01/29/2015
Mud bug wontons;
That might bring him out.
10.) Swamp Fox - 01/29/2015
I told him a while back to invite us down to help him finish his camp. I don't know about anyone else, but I can be bribed with a few pounds of crawfish and some early spring fishing.

If there's a lot of squatting, kneeling, heavy lifting or the possibility of losing fingers to a power tool, though, I'm gonna need him to throw in a pretty Cajun girl with her own boat and motor.

Also heard from OKY and a few others at Christmas. I don't know what anyone's doing instead of hanging out here, though.
