1.) Deerminator - 04/04/2015
Ask them what they are using, and then try something different.

:-)

Use other hunters as drivers to push deer in your direction

keep sending them over to another location ( like somebody else's stand )

NOBODY????:groan:

When I have a buddy who isn't as scent conscious as I try to be, I put him upwind. :wink

"Listen, watch, believe."

I listen, and I ask a lot of questions. Sometimes I believe what people tell me, and other times I believe the opposite. :wink

I watch what others are doing. Sometimes it tells me where the fish and game is, and sometimes it tells me where the fish and game will not be.

I believe that experience and treachery beat youth and enthusiasm every time.

:wink

A very good piece of wisdom there.

Wouldn't you put them downwind so their scent isn't mucking up your hunting?
6.) Swamp Fox - 04/09/2015
I would, but then I couldn't use them as blockers, LOL.

I wouldn't put someone on a stand where he would contaminate an area deer need to use to get to me, but I have had deer circle toward me when they detect someone upwind from my position.

I figure the area downwind from me is hopeless anyway (although you never know) so to put someone downwind of me in most situations would be 1. bad manners and 2. less entertaining for me. :-)
