1.) Swamp Fox - 05/13/2015
I gave up the opportunity to get an out-of-town obligation plus some much-needed work on Camp Swampy out of the way this week because the weather was supposed to be constant rain from Sunday pretty much all through the week. Not enough dry spots in the forecast for me to have a good shot at getting stuff done. Except for a sprinkle, though, it's been dry as a bone and partly to mostly sunny all week. :bang:

I gave up using Scoutlook for hunting/fishing weather because they were pretty unreliable. Currently using Intellicast, mostly.

Anybody have any good weather services they like, especially for one day ahead and then several days ahead?

I think there is an 8 ball app available too!
4.) Swamp Fox - 05/13/2015
Count on the computer geeks to take all the magic out of the Magic 8 Ball....Most of the fun is watching the answer rise out of the blue liquid...How they gonna do that on a computer except by trickery? :tap:

I'm not falling for it!

Thank you sir, but I'll stick with the original!

:wink

Exactly! There are pin ball apps too. How you gonna reproduce the stench and diseases of a game room in a run down bar on a smartphone?
8.) Swamp Fox - 05/13/2015
Ha! I was a pinball nut in high school. My first job out of college was managing three game room/sub shops across central NC. Quite a cast of characters, LOL...and I'm not just talking about the customers...:wink

Pinball is a great game requiring more skill than most people realize. I wish there were more around. Video games just don't do it for me.
10.) Swamp Fox - 05/13/2015
I couldn't get the hang of video games---the big stand-up cabinet kind, forget about X-box etc, which I've never even tried, LOL. Everything was too fast for me, slapping all those buttons and working the joystick.

That said, if I could have a video game in my man cave, I'd get a Defender machine in a heartbeat, and try to learn how to play it better than a fifth-grader, LOL.

Pong was about my speed, LOL...

If a weather man is taken down by another weather man, no big deal.

It's only if a weather man is taken down by let's say a news reporter. Then there is Hell to pay...
