Had a great day eating brisket, ribs, chicken, & stuffed jalapeņo peppers with my family, it was really enjoyable.:hb:

Excellent! In between multiple rain storms, I reorganized the fishing Bronco. You should see it, LOL

The weather cleared in time for fireworks, not that I went. There's a big field not far from me through the woods where somebody does some kind of display every year (I'm gonna guess the county, but I've never gone) but they always do it a bit too early....like 15 or 30 minutes too early. I guess the kiddies can't be out too late. I keep thinking I'm gonna be able to see something through the trees, but it never happens.

The late evening cooled down nicely, with a breeze...That was nice. :-)

Who's got leftover sparklers?

I'm not sure I understand this or not ;
:cf:
But here in NY it is now legal for us to buy and play with sparklers. BUT it is regulated by county. Kinda like a pistol permit.

I'm sure you can only carry 6 sparklers or something, might hurt yourself with more....... NY :bang:

LOL...

It's about three clicks from a free-for-all here, but it's not as free as it used to be. You go to SC to buy the really good personal fireworks if you don't have a "show" or commercial license like the big boys have.

The show out in the field by me used to be just a few local goofballs who knew how to blow stuff up. They did something every year for their friends, and eventually it drew a crowd. I think whatever's being done over there these days grew out of that, but I don't know if it's still "private" or if it's been opened up. All I know is they shoot off some big stuff over there. You can almost feel the booms go right through you sometimes. LOL

What about candles on birthday cakes? Are those okay? LOL...I think they used to make sparklers FOR cakes...That must have been a nightmare for lawmakers...

What made NY legalize sparklers again? I know it couldn't have been a fit of common sense or libertarian impulse. Some busybodies in the legislature die off or something?

No clue
But what ever it is we are allowed to carry,
we can only carry 10.
But ! My Marlin M60 ( 14 shot tube fed ) is OK.:tu:
