I have reached that magical age of needing reading glasses.... so do any old timers out there use a single pin magnifying bow sight for pin clarification? I have a reach out and touch em bow but it seems that I can't get a clear pin to target visual. I like my 5 pin I have and I really considered a single pin when I bought the bow last year.... am I going down the right path here or is there something else that could be done? maybe a peep clarifier? I don't know which direction to travel on this and I don't want to buy something and not be what i need and be stuck with it

It's a verifier I need ......I beleive

the peep that has a lens in it.
the Verifier I think it is.

I need reading glasses but don't have trouble with a single pin...I always hated multi-pins, even verticial...

It sounds like you MIGHT be having more trouble than me...My best advice is to have a good conversation with your optometrist...Not sure you can find the right knuckleheads to talk to on the interweb...

I tried the Verifier, it made the pin crystal clear but the target was very blurry, the weaker verifier lens was a fait trade off, I could see pin & target fair at shorted distances. To my knowledge at longer distances there is not a good solution to your problem.

Thanks y'all

I have a serious vision issue with my dominant eye, the meds I've been on for the past 3 years have affected my eyesight significantly. I tried a clarifier peep and it seems (much like what Billy said) that I can either get the pin crystal clear or the target crystal clear but can't get both. I decided that my eyesight is beyond fixing with a new peep so just sticking with having the target stay blurry.

Same here.

Isn't there a school of thought that says focus on the target and not the pin? To me that means my pin would be the blurrier of the two, LOL.

I'd like to know who does what as far as that goes.

Do you feel you shoot more precisely with a clear pin and blurry target?
10.) billy b - 07/13/2015
I never shoot more precisely anymore:bang:

clear pin :tu:
