Saw this done once and always wanted to try it. The different patterns and swirls in the concrete are accentuated by the stain and not due to brush strokes.

This is the unfinished concrete floor in my basement - cleaned it thoroughly and then sprayed a mild acid on the concrete. Once the surface is washed and dried a stain is applied. After two coats of stain, then I applied 3 coats of a clear acrylic.

PRETTY COOL. NICE UPGRADE.

That's incredible.

If I had a basement, I'd invite you over for a beer. :wink

Alternatively, what can you do for me on an old refrigerator that looks like it has acne on the doors, like the kid at the Radio Shack at the mall, only less East Asian and rustier?

Bluecat, when are you going to be here for my garage, let me know & I'll have ribs ready.:grin:
5.) bluecat - 04/12/2016
That sounds like a good trade actually.

I'd tell you how good that looks, except I'm too jealous over the fact that you have a basement to begin with. That's one of the things I miss most about other places in the country that I've lived. Due to the way the ground here shifts you can have a basement, but it costs so much because of the extra reinforcement required that it's cost prohibitive.

It does look good though.

LOL...

So maybe creepy-crawlies on acid hallucinate finished basements?

It makes a certain kind of sense.

Anybody ever wonder what the pink elephant thought the last time he saw you, or is it just me?
