We put an aerial assault on the pigs the other day. Those big ones are tough! Using #4 buckshot!

Was it any more effective on the smaller pigs?

Taking a rifle next time? Or at least a slug gun? LOL
3.) Alex - 04/25/2016
why would anyone use buckshot on full grown pigs?
4.) Jon - 04/25/2016
That got expensive. I'm amazed buck shot was even a thought, slugs are much cheaper and so much more effective if you are going the shotgun route.

Needs more happy switch.

Just trying to kill as many as possible. Mostly medium/ small sows and offspring. Only occassionally run across large ones like this.

Not just full grown pigs. It's a good choice for most of the hogs we have.

Chopper time is what's expensive. Quick shots on running hogs while continually maneuvering makes slugs less feasible.

Do you go back and recover the hogs? Do you kill enough to warrant the time and expense?
