1.) Swamp Fox - 03/15/2017
Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY), formerly fairly moderate on guns before she took Hillary's Senate seat and a national spotlight, is often misinformed, to be charitable.

I think opposing relaxed regulations for firearms suppressors because, as she says, they will make it harder solve crimes is in a different category, but let me not beat a dead horse.

Don't get me started on the idiocy of requiring a background check for a firearm accessory in the first place, even if the strategy for continuing the requirement in liberalized new legislation is to remove it later when it's more politically feasible.

That's not important right now. (Or maybe it is. Discuss.)

Let's see if Gillebrand is interested in educating herself on the topic, or not.

Senator Gillibrand Vows to Stop Congressional Effort Currently Underway to Make It Easier For Criminals to Obtain Gun Silencers

LOL---With courage like this, she should probably get her own national holiday.
3.) DParker - 03/15/2017
Yeah, she's been the subject of much well-earned derision by pro-2A folks lately. I've already long been jaded to the willful ignorance of politicians with regard to the issues they voice their opinions and vote on, so for me the saddest part of that piece from The Blaze is the opening sentence:

"Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) is leading the fight against a bill that would ease restrictions on gun silencers — but Republican Rep. Jeff Duncan hopes to change her mind in an unusual way."

He's suggesting that she make an effort to actually educate herself just a little bit on the subject she's prattling on about...and that's deemed "an unusual way" to sway a legislator's view.
4.) Swamp Fox - 03/15/2017
LOL...Excellent point.
5.) Swamp Fox - 03/15/2017
When I saw this headline on her website

Senator Gillibrand Vows to Stop Congressional Effort Currently Underway to Make It Easier For Criminals to Obtain Gun Silencers

all I could think of is this:

It's been stuck in my head all day...:-)
6.) DParker - 03/16/2017
Gabby Giffords' latest contribution to this particular derp-fest:

So...suppressors "silence" firearms so much that cops can't hear them. But they don't cut the dBs enough to keep you from going deaf (both of which would come as a shock to the European countries that mandate the use of suppressors for hunting, and where you can buy them over the counter.)
7.) Swamp Fox - 03/16/2017
Wow...Just wow.

The stupid is strong with this one.

Probably need to keep tabs on the 28 dolts that "liked" it, too. At the very least, help them out of the street.

I wonder if the person that did that ad is on the same team with the Hillary graphics dunce who didn't understand how Venn diagrams work, while trying to chart opinions on "universal" background checks. LOL

And just because while we're on Memory Lane it would be fun, here's one of the best all-time Twitter response slams:

I can't often post tweet images here (incapable/incompetent) but the original is out there if you want to try to find the guy who did that and buy him a beer. :)
9.) Swamp Fox - 03/16/2017
Bernie likes Scandinavia a lot. I don't know about Gillibrand. But in general Dems are always spouting off about Scandinavia. Particularly Sweden. Somebody should tweak them with a little Scandinavian suppressor philosophy. That would be fun.

So I guess we're supposed to believe that only criminals will purchase "silencers"....

Well, I think that depends entirely on the hat. I mean, just look at all the extra brain capacity this one gives you:

If he keeps going at this pace, I predict Chuck Schumer jokes will be the new Chuck Norris jokes, except not funny.

Examples:

Chuck Schumer refers to himself in the FOURTH person.

Chuck Schumer got bitten by a venomous snake. After three days of excruciating pain, the snake died.

Satan uses Chuck Schumer to scare his children straight.

Chuck Schumer once told Santa Claus children weren't real.

(Hey, don't shoot me...It's not easy coming up with Chuck Schumer jokes on short notice.)

It's almost time for me to perform my yearly ritual on the first night of the tournament.

A Pour a glass of whiskey and settle back.
B Crumple up my bracket and watch Cops.

I'm pulling for the SD Jackrabbits in public, because all the girls like him.

Privately, though, I have Virginia and UNC in the finals, after the Cavaliers narrowly defeat South Carolina, who drub Duke in a stunning but much-appreciated and welcome upset for all red-blooded Americans.
