I got an email saying photobucket isn't allowing 3rd party hosting anymore. The offer a paid membership where you can do it however, imagine that?
So, would posting a picture on here be considered 3rd party hosting?
I'm posting a picture to see what happens

Looks like you can upgrade for $399.99 and be able to have 3rd party hosting....WTF?

What are other good, free, 3rd party hosting sites for pictures?

LOL! So the crappiest photo hosting site on the web..and which has only gotten crappier over time...now is charging for the crappiness?

I switched over to Imgur ([URL="http://www.imgur.com"]http://www.imgur.com[/URL]) a while ago and haven't looked back. Much better. Just be sure to upload your pics for "private" viewing or else you'll be barraged by comment notifications from random schumcks across the interwebz. You'll still be able to share/link to them when they're marked private, but other imgur users won't see them just by virtue of them being hosted with your account.

I was gonna say Imgur or Flickr. I got fed up with PhotoBucket a long time ago...too clunky...So this is my sign.
6.) bluecat - 06/30/2017

testing testing
7.) Jon - 06/30/2017
Thanks DP, I'll look at that one

Clunky, yeah that is one term you could use. Thanks for the references guys. I'll make the switch.
9.) bluecat - 06/30/2017
That fact that Imgur loaded without a 10 minute wait is kinda nice.
10.) Swamp Fox - 06/30/2017
Flickr is more solid for your own photography if you're concerned about rights, etc. I've always heard Imgur is more speedy and user friendly for the kind of goofing around we do here.

Hey it works!

13.) Swamp Fox - 06/30/2017
This is motivation to move some of my photos around...It's been on the to-do list for a few months, LOL.

I wonder if PhotoBucket thinks it's still going to be in business in three years?
14.) Wild Bob - 07/14/2017
Well...I guess I need to go this route too. :re::re:

Sorry guys, I ain't paying 300 bucks just to throw up a few pictures around here now and then. Think I'll try Flickr...I believe that is what my wife has mentioned using.
15.) bluecat - 07/14/2017
Any way to get all the pictures off photobucket to an external drive without selecting every pic?
16.) Jon - 07/14/2017
Not that I know of
17.) Wild Bob - 07/18/2017
Testing...one two testing... first post from Flickr

Looks like a misfire Bob.
20.) bluecat - 07/19/2017
Bob is used to those.
21.) Wild Bob - 07/19/2017
LOL!

Well, shoot. I don't know what happened...One thing I did notice was that when I copied my BBCode, it attached my name to the tag. Well, I didn't like that, being the private kind of guy that I am (LOL) so I just deleted that portion of it. May be it doesn't like that kid of thing and so it blocked the picture? I was also screwing around with the public / private settings on all this, so perhaps I goofed up with that.
22.) Wild Bob - 07/19/2017
I'll retry by eliminating one thing at a time...

Once again:
23.) Swamp Fox - 07/19/2017
WB--PM me with your best email addy and/or phone number. I have something for you regarding the above, but your PMs are turned off.

Don't do it Bob it's a trap. Probably will infect you with his spambot tarheel virus crap.

LOL! He's taken up new enterprises eh???
26.) Wild Bob - 07/19/2017
I've been noticing something - not sure if this is the same for everyone else tho...?

When I am signed in, and I post a picture or embed anything...I only see it as the BBCode or the address. In order to see it as a picture or in its embedded form, I have to sign out. Why is that? Anyone know why?
27.) Swamp Fox - 07/19/2017
I've never noticed that before, but there might be more than one way to post pics on here and I've gotten away from posting from a third party, so I'm rusty.

Maybe Alex will see this and help out...LOL

I have noticed that it's not infrequent that I can't see a pic at one point, but I will at another. Signing in or out is not involved. I think that's due to an issue at the host.

When I embed a post from Twitter, I often see only the code initially, but when I leave the thread and come back (even if immediately) the image will be up. Seems like there's some short delay for some reason.
