It sounds like you're Mr. Successful! It's good to hear that all is well with you and yours. And even not getting getting in the woods much you'll still probably see more deer than I will this year.

6.) Swamp Fox - 10/29/2017
I felt like I was gonna lose an arm while I was watching that.

Don't know how big your mill is, but a couple of people around here are killing it in that business. Good luck to you!

And don't be a stranger! Every once in a while a couple of us are here late. :ach:

But I have to say: All the good people took off, like you did ... LOL

We don't have many cedar trees around here. I buy a truck load of logs from southern states every few months. I should be getting a load up here around the first of December.

My mill is a woodmizer LT70. Nyle kiln one I can dry 4500 bf at a time 12'6" and the other 18' but only 1500 bf. 5 head Moulder than I can make any trim that a person might need up to 8". Been building some furniture as well. I'll post a few pics here shortly.

She is still blind. So I'm semi good looking still to her.

LOL...I love the turkey call coffee table!

Are you building and/or finishing that stuff yourself?

I guess so, if I'd remember what I read ...LOL

Very nice!

Yep. Turn everything from logs to either lumber ,trim, or furniture. Doing the wood stuff on my own. Well I have 1 employee to run my Moulder but it's only 4-5 days a month. Not allot of orders for trim right now. Mainly rough cut.
19.) Swamp Fox - 10/29/2017
Very cool. The next turkey call table you do, you should try to put a pin and the proper shapes to it so you can pull back the paddle to an open chamber for storing stuff, plus make a really sweet noise with a little chalk ...LOL

Very nice. :-)Just goes to show I am not first to the party with all my ideas, LOL

If you make one that makes a decent noise, let me know first. I'm serious. :wink:tu:
24.) Ohbuckhunter - 10/29/2017
Define decent noise lol. Done that well

25.) Swamp Fox - 10/29/2017
Think of the biggest doofus bozo in the turkey section of Bass Pro on March 31, trying out box calls on display...If it's at least as good as that, I'd call it decent. LOL

That table there is very sweet.

Check with Bluecat about getting some cherry wood ...LOL
26.) Ohbuckhunter - 10/29/2017
To make a table that makes noise is very timely. Once I fork over 20k on a Cnc router I could knock them out quicker but I'm not buying that just for those. There's other things I could do with it as well but need to figure out shipping and what not cause folks around me are poor and think hand made stuff should be Walmart prices.
27.) Swamp Fox - 10/29/2017
If you could make one that made a decent sound and made a video of a couple of goobers playing with it (I nominate KyHunter and Dan-o), you'd soon have more business than you could handle.

Just don't let them wrassle in a tub of chalk dust like they're ring girls. That would be too disturbing.

I know a guy who made semi-custom canoes and he did some of his business doing his own deliveries half-way across the country, and others by local pick-up, often paired with a guided fishing trip in his area. Lots of other businesses offer local pick-up. I'm thinking about the Blob archery target and one or two other small boat builders. Kayak companies often do demo days in conjunction with local outdoor shops, and let people buy models right off the trailer.

im going to do epdm tpo roofs i think like you said, get a 30 40 square roof for 30 grand tear off.. maybe 3 a year and screw off the rest of the year..only thing i worry about is health ins. a ac unit installed on a roof is at least a grand just to roof it.. pitch pans are 200 bucks, i can do one in 5 minutes
32.) crookedeye - 10/29/2017
maybe 10 15 grand a 30 square tear off, but still you going to make alot of money..
33.) crookedeye - 10/29/2017

10/12 pitch? You're lucky. Well when I was roofing we used to do 24/12 pitches, in the dark, no jacks, and got paid 0.30 an hour for it. :re:
