I don't know how many stories I've read in the last six months of the fast-food industry--in particular--robotizing/automating to save on labor costs and labor headaches. I'd say it's a jumbo-size, though.

We all know it was a revenue/hassle stop and a fishing expedition, and the cops could have explained why she had no standing to enquire of them in terms that Her Legal Beagleness could relate to.
On the other hand, having "no obligation" is a fine old political and legal excuse that sounds right up a Hillary supporter's alley. In fact, I'm sure Hills and Bill have used that very excuse before when they haven't wanted to explain something. On a side note, I'm pretty sure there's no Mr. Obnoxious Port Authority Commissioner from Tenafly. At first I thought the officer should have just explained it to her and been done with it, but the more she carried on I realized no amount of explaining would have satisfied her. They probably already spent a lengthy amount of time trying to explain it to the driver already.
I don't know exactly what you mean by fishing expedition. If you mean they stopped them without any reason but just to dig and pry I would say no. There was something that caused them to pull them over. Once a cop has you pulled over it's protocol to run license, registration, insurance, check for warrants etc. They find a lot of wanted criminals this way. If you roll down the window and they smell drugs or suspect intoxication, impairment, they are gonna search your vehicle and determine if you are safe to drive.
