...there's always axe-throwing. Remember, never bring a knife to an axe-throwing fight.

Let me axe you a question....

That was his (my son's) joke when posting it on FB.

The funny thing was...looking at all of the places where people completely missed the target and thinking, "I've still seen worse at the pistol range."

Axe-throwing in bars is a thing, but I recently heard of one bar getting in trouble for it. Maybe California? I don't remember. A story within the last month or so.

So I'd like o make this point:

First they came for the 18 year olds, and I didn't say anynything because I wasn't 18. Then they came for the smokers, and I didn't say anything because I wasn't a smoker. Then they came for the dwarf-tosses, and I didn't say anything because I was neither a dwarf, nor a dwarf-tosser.

[I]First they came for the 18 year-olds, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not an 18 year-old.

Then they came for the smokers, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a smoker.

Then they came for the dwarf-tosses, and I did not speak out—
Because I was neither a dwarf-tosser, nor a dwarf.

Then they came for axe-throwers and the Nebraska football fans, and I did not speak out, —because I was neither an axe-thrower nor a corn .... husker.

Then they came for me ---and there was no one left to speak for me, which was okay in a way because I enjoy peace and quiet, and some people need to quit getting outraged about EVERYTHING anyway...

But also it sucked.
