I heard about this yesterday and so many thoughts went through my mind.

Too bad somebody didn't take this opportunity to mock all the ridiculous gun control legislation with a "ban knives" speach. It might have reached a few people that way.

Would a Swiss Army Knife be considered a high capacity knife? Glenn Beck was making fun of the electric knife this morning. And what about a black (tactical looking) Swiss Army Knife? Pretty funny.

Wouldn't it have been great if someone with a concealed carry permit and weapon would have shot this lunatic.

No, because only deaths/injuries by firearms are bad.

Where's that picture of all the evil tools of destruction confiscated by British police? None of them went "bang", unless I missed seeing some hammers in there with the hatchets.

Did anyone else in the media cover this story? I haven't been watching TV for a couple of days.

I know which one you're talking about. I'm looking for it but haven't found it yet. In the meantime, here are some others that are almost as good:

http://freescotland.net/2012/06/09/scottish-news-shocking-arsenal-of-weapons-confiscated-from-scottish-courts/

The best part of that one:
Security staff confiscated more than 3200 weapons – including knives, hammers and darts – during court door checks last year.

Did anyone else in the media cover this story? I haven't been watching TV for a couple of days.
Of course not. Like I said, only injuries involving firearms are bad.

Here's another good one: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2013781/Police-confiscated-1-000-deadly-weapons-children-school.html
an 11-year-old was found with a snooker ball in a sock in 2008
Apparently the kids are going all Charles Bronson over there. They just don't have enough large coins.
