i was thinking about getting one of these the other day when my 100 year old freezer, i thought took a nose dive to death..but after defrosting 6 inches of 20 yr old ice from the back side of it , it purrs like a kitten now but one o0f these days..some of the stuff thawed out but was still cold..ate a chicken breast and still dont have any side effects so i should be good..

anyone no of a good freezer alarm.

Stand-alone alarms I don't have any experience with. I have a wireless combination door and temperature sensor in my garage freezer, and have it integrated with my SmartThings-based home automation system. That offers a lot of advantages, but is a lot of techy-geek stuff.

Maybe something more like this?
