EMTs: "Let us get you into the ambulance now, sir."

My son: "OK, but first let me take a selfie for Instagram."

Pajama-boy ambulance? Because otherwise, I don't see the problem ...

Your wife must be good-lookin', 'cause if not, someone's got a lot of 'splainin' to do ...

:-)

Hope he's okay, BTW ... LOL

That's after his face was at least a little cleaned off...and you can't see the chunk that broke off one of his top front incisors. There just happened to be a pair of off-duty EMTs nearby when he went over the handlebars (he was riding his mountain bike about a mile from his apartment) and face-planted on the asphalt. They had some supplies with them, so they rushed over and helped him out with the bloodier stuff and, since there was at least some head injury, called an ambulance. That bill, the ER bill and the crown the dentist is going to have to put on him are going to be the most painful parts of the whole incident.

When we lived in Irvine, CA we used to take our baby daughter out for walks a lot. It wasn't uncommon for us to encounter other couples doing the same thing with one of the kids having red hair...even though neither mom nor dad were gingers. It became a standing joke for us that we were always on the lookout for a red-haired mailman in the area.

He was riding his bike on the way to a set of trails around a nearby lake when his phone rang. Thinking it was work (he's often on-call for support) he tried to stop and take the call, but hit the brakes too hard and went flying ass-over-end. He'll be fine. They put 4 stitches in the deep gash on the left (his right) and he's going to need a crown on his top-right incisor (tooth).

Freakin' dentists ... Tell him to tell them to **** off ....

That's the Irish and Scots way....

I'm betting he applied the brakes one-handed as he was getting his phone which makes a sudden stop a little adventurous. Glad he's okay.

I'm thinking that's a fairly safe bet.
