Just got back from Nebraska where things didn't go as planned. Arrowed a nice buck that was never recovered. Trailed him for 1/2 mile before blood ran out. Snow would have helped.

As I was looking for him I walked a creek and found a full skeleton of a nice buck that had been there probably a week. The coyotes and critters hadn't destroyed the skull so I brought him back. The smell was horrific.

Will be attempting to clean up the skull. So far, I have it almost clean.

Sorry to hear about the lost buck. On the other hand, even the dead stuff you come across is better than anything I see.

That's very cool that you have the whole thing, including lower jaw bone.

I have one eight point (including one kicker) I picked up in circumstances almost like that (Let me tell you the story, LOL) that is probably the smallest trophy whitetail you'll ever come across. Inside spread is about seven inches, LOL ...

Popular demand might make me try to post a pic.

I think you should do a european mount but try to preserve the remaining hair or speak to a wig shop to commission a special project.

That deer has and needs a mullet and you know it... Deer bidness in the front, rut party in the back...

He has that wild-eyed S̶o̶u̶t̶h̶e̶r̶n̶ Knebraska boy look to him ... I swear that is a shit-eating grin he has ....

Anybody who doesn't remember the .38 Special song should be drummed out of the corpse ... :shh:

My, aren't we creative.

I just need to whiten up the skull now.

I figured y'all could have fun picking out items on my workbench.
9.) Swamp Fox - 11/15/2021
Oh, please tell me you saved the lower jaw!

I am familiar with the cranberry juice jug (for my periods), the vise and the scattered cardboard boxes, but otherwise everything else is a mystery to me ...

Well, now I think I see a paring knife, a new ice-scraper still with its tag from Starvin' Marvin's convenience store, a cymbal (those were the days), and either a very small microwave (fake grilled cheese sammiches or some other weird midwestern thing?) or a radio/alarm clock ...
12.) Swamp Fox - 11/15/2021
Oh, yeah, and some pink twine ...

LOL

Boning knife, grinder, paint scraper for deer skin, pink twine for milk jug winter plantings, juice containers for japanese beetle trap, teeter totter mouse trap disk, honey extractor, deer skull, vise, dirty bee suit. AM/FM/Ham radio.

When things slow down around here I'll walk you through all of it.

Can you find the roll of paracord?
15.) bluecat - 11/15/2021
Do you think CE is hanging upside down in some tree with his tree saddle? He is a little late on his reviews.

Do you remember when he bought that funky chicken for turkey hunting but then never posted once about it? Told us we were missing out and Michael Waddell was using it now.

Now you can't even find that emaciated thing.

Well yeah, it's breast cancer awareness month, hello?
17.) Swamp Fox - 11/15/2021
Yes, now I do,, and good on you for buying in bulk, as long as it is the real deal :wink ...

If you ever need some with reflective markers, let me know ... It's awesome ... LOL...
Well yeah, it's breast cancer awareness month, hello?
It's funny you say that... I was aware of some breasts earlier today .... Actually, a few times ...
19.) bluecat - 11/15/2021
Were they real and spectacular?
20.) bluecat - 11/15/2021
and/or spectacular
21.) Swamp Fox - 11/15/2021
I'm disappointed that I might have missed my chance with the Funky Chicken ...

I guess when you're blessed/overrun with a lot of stupid birds and low pressure, you can make a lot of things work ...

Apologies to the birds that are not really stupid, but just gullible ....
and/or spectacular
They were real but unspectacular ... mostly ...

But I still noticed them ...
23.) bluecat - 11/24/2021

Came out really nice.

Thanks to the girls from Sally's Beauty Supply, lol.
24.) Swamp Fox - 11/25/2021
