Very similar to a measure previously passed in Montana, the state of Kansas enacts SB 102...legislation that provides, among other things, that the federal government has no authority under the Interstate Commerce Clause to regulate firearms and ammunition that have been manufactured within Kansas and that have never left the state. It also allows for the prosecution of any federal official(s) who attempt to enforce federal laws with regard to such items within the state of Kansas:

USAG Eric Holder pens a letter to Kansas Gov. Brownback declaring SB 102 to be unconstitutional, stating that the DoJ will not recognize SB 102 and threatens possible litigation over it:

(Text of the AG's letter is here: http://media.kansas.com/smedia/2013/05/02/09/53/rFtDO.So.80.pdf)

Kansas' Secretary of State issues an official statement in response to Holder's letter, informing the latter that his understanding of the U.S. Constitution is flawed, and effectively telling Holder to pound sand and bring it on:

Pretty cool eh?
3.) DParker - 05/03/2013
At a minimum, it certainly has the potential to get very interesting.

Excellent! I'm no meteorologist, but the points seeem to be spot-on.

And you have to love the tone.

There's a reason my secession flag business has taken off...And now +this+ just as my spray-on tan business is winding down as proms and graduations are imminent. The gods are smiling on me. I might even order dessert tonight.

Who said the Obama administration was bad for the economy?
Excellent!
On a side note...since 1995 I've been incapable of reading that word as a stand-alone sentence without hearing it in my head in this guy's voice:

LOL...It's true...

Or in some contexts, Mr. Burns'...
