I've been shopping for a nice pistol box for sometime. I found one I really like. It is an old-school (no battery) type of lock. Very quick to enter. I can punch in the key code and open in 4 seconds.
It weighs around 22 pounds and is 10-gauge steel. You can bolt it down if you want as there are pre-drilled holes in the bottom. Will hold several pistols and high-capacity magazines.

The only con is I wish I could run a cable through the back of the box. I could take it to a welder and have it done but it would probably ruin the finish in that area.

I found this under my daughter's bed. It was pretty clear to me that she had most of the gun built and was just working on the extractor assemblage. Luckily I got to it in time and have safely put it in the box

Fort Knox makes a quality safe. Looks very nice.

Sure, Lego pistols is how it starts. But the next thing you know she's gnawing a Pop Tart into the shape of an anti-aircraft battery. It's good that you caught her early.

That's a nice looking safe. Is it intended for home use, or are you thinking of putting it somewhere in a vehicle?

It is going under the bed for now or on the nightstand. There are other models that are similar but have different door configurations. They make one specifically for vehicles. They call it the auto box which kept confusing me cause it would hold a revolver too...

They are spendy but I found a place that offers free shipping and the lowest price I've found.

So how many times did you watch that video DP? :p
7.) bluecat - 06/20/2013
You know, in case you missed any information the first seventeen times.

There were two videos, each which I watched approximtely 0.25 times. I already have 3 gun safes, and when it became apparent that in both cases they were going to continue to talk fully clothed I quickly lost interest.

Oh well you see that is where you shouldn't assume. With each new feature she took off an article of clothing.

I see you're unfamiliar with the YouTube feature that allows you to preview upcoming frames from the video by hovering your mouse pointer over later portions of the sliding progress indicator at the bottom of the player. :wink
