that thing is pretty light.havnt even shot it yet..i need to get all the right lubes and oils for the rail, i'm surprised it came in a box that i had to install which was about 3 screws worth.. very easy..first shot i might have to put on my safty glasses..

had it for two weeks and havnt shot it yet..bought some arrows and some rail lube at cabelas today all the tags are coming off maybe this weekend..
question.. the scope where you adjust windage has a tiny freakin phillips screw where you adjust youre right , left , up or down.. i do need to loosen that and tighten it back up, right? i havnt messed with it yet because i cant find a small enough phillips screw driver.. 8.) Swamp Fox - 06/27/2013

i never had a scope with a set screw before..if that what it is ..i dont like to loosen tiny little screws so thats why i'm asking..

I don't know anything about a set screw up where the sight adjustments are made...I could believe one on the focus knob, but like you say I haven't ever come across one anywhere on a scope that I can think of offhand, unless I'm missing something obvious, LOL....except maybe on some lighted sights maybe...I have a laser that has a screw for beam adjustment (but it's not a set screw, obviously...just [I]like[/I] a set screw).

Is the screw in the middle of a knob that you turn for windage adjustment? If so then you shouldn't need to loosen it or mess with it (the screw) at all. The knob should just turn when you want it to, but maintain its setting without needing to tighten anything down.

man what a dummy i am..the little screws were the things that held the the knob you turn it to click it for adjustments..:bang: like i said i'm new to scopes and such.. like i said i havnt messed with it much..do you have to shoot these things with safty glasses on ??are is it optional?

just remember to keep your thumb below the rail or the string will remove it. Is that a Bowtec Stryker crossbow? As DP said "don't remove the little screws".

once i get this thing set it should be pretty fun..this thing is just for those evening hunts where im lazy and what to hunt a fields edge are kill some does .my main weapon is still the compound.. will see.

i figured it out chris, i always catch myself aiming it and my left thumb is close to the rail.. if that happens it might remove part of my thumb but not the whole thumb:-) i bought the 350 with the string surpressors..noing me, when a big buck walks by i''ll be nervous and not think and a part of my finger will go with the arrow..:tu: lets hope that dont happen.. 33.) well i finally shot my crossbow, in the basement.. one thing i learned is its not a vertical bow but horizental...and once the bow is cocked you need to look out for the sides of washing machines..i put a dent in the side of the washing maching with the cam..:wave:

[B]Don't know if you figured it out yet but I believe those tiny screws are for zeroing the knobs. You sight the thing in then remove the knob and reinstall it so it lines up with zero. Then you can make adjustments and return back to the original setting. Prob not much use in this case since you'll prob just set it and forget it anyhow.[/B]

My boss at work got one (forget what kind), when he went to pull it back the first time, the stirrup slipped off of his foot and the stock hit him in the face. i was a little leary of my first shot and drawing it back for the first time..i was thinking ...did i tighten the screws down good enough?? i like it, pretty fun to shoot.. |
