you guys need to watch next tuesdays episode..looks like a deck hand smashed all his fingers, gruesome.

if captain keith and that hawian guy told me to get out of the wheel house, i would tell them to make me! i always would like to take over captain keiths boat and call it the 'savana sunset..them guys are good at what they do ..but act to tough..every fight you see on the ships it looks like girls..that hawaian guy thinks just because he's in the crab boat he's tough..calling that green horn a weisel and stuff.. dont talk all bad and look tough in front of the camera's...Do somthing about it! bunch of punks!!
2.) crookedeye - 07/04/2013

3.) crookedeye - 07/04/2013

i got there wizard right here!
4.) Swamp Fox - 07/04/2013
I think Floyd might be out to sea...
5.) crookedeye - 07/04/2013
what is floyds deal? football seasons right around the corner..
6.) luv2bowhunt - 07/05/2013
Floyd logs in as a guest, then fades into the darkness.....................

Deadliest catch is a joke. The real tough guys are the ones who have to moderate websites. You don't want to mess with those sons of beaches.
7.) Swamp Fox - 07/05/2013
We do seem to have a lot of lurkers. I know they're not all looking for information on how to hunt...

LOL
8.) crookedeye - 07/07/2013
in a month are two..i'm really going to get into deer scents and treestand placement..plus walking to youre stand.."does the wind and scent really play a factor"? types of questions..
9.) Hunter - 07/07/2013
Should be out now scouting stand placements!! :co:
10.) crookedeye - 07/07/2013
sunday is my day of rest..plus its to hot.. them woods are thick. you expect me to walk in there and get poison ivy, plus i need to deal with all the spiders and bugs.
11.) luv2bowhunt - 07/08/2013
Spider webs in the face are a problem right now. Not alot of fun to have the nasty webs stuck to your sweaty face and then wonder where the actual spider went.

Maybe we could get some helpful tips from one of the pros on here, how they cope with it during their Summer scouting.
12.) Swamp Fox - 07/08/2013
Carry a switch and wave it around in front of you a lot....LOL

13.) DParker - 07/08/2013
Summer scouting? In the NE TX woods? I deal with that by enjoying the great indoors with lots of A/C and a couple of cold beers. This weekend I kept it simple with some Tecate and lime wedges. I ventured into the backyard to water my peppers, basil and fig tree, and I did spot a rabbit and a squirrel while I was out there, so maybe that qualifies.

As for spiders, they're active all year...and avoiding a face full of arachnid is just a matter of paying attention. You only need to pick up one of these gals as an inadvertent hitchhiker once to learn that lesson:

I like having them in the garden (hence their common name, "Garden Spider"), where they do a great job of pest control...and they're pretty harmless to humans. But with a leg span of up to 5" getting one on you will make you dance an Irish jig while screaming like a little girl...which I find to be not terribly conducive to a stealthy entry into your hunting area.

....

Does anybody know "itsy bitsy spider"?
Does anybody know "itsy bitsy spider"?
Gospel remix, with a nice little nod to the 5th Dimension at the end...

Hallelujah brother, I think I'm healed. At least that boil seems a little smaller.

You've got some mad research skills.
18.) luv2bowhunt - 07/08/2013
It's this one that always gets me backpeddling and flailing the arms. The banded garden spider.

19.) luv2bowhunt - 07/08/2013
They should make an electronic detector for webs. Some are just one line attached to a small circle off to the side.

Hard to see one strand of web when I'm looking down for timber rattlers, poison ivy, and checking my pants for ticks every 2 minutes.

So why do I go in the woods in the Summer???

Hence that whole "A/C, Tecate and lime" thing.
21.) luv2bowhunt - 07/08/2013
I keep telling myself the commitment to excellence will pay off in the end, but deep down I know better.

The only real key to success is owning your own farm in IA or OH and planting biologic.
22.) bluecat - 07/08/2013
You forgot to include the hot wife.
23.) DParker - 07/08/2013
And a really high fence.
24.) Swamp Fox - 07/08/2013
Well, all that is very nice, but all you really need is a crossbow, a Deerview Mirror and some of these (check out the 47-second mark for how they will improve your hunting experience):

25.) DParker - 07/08/2013
Man, just think how cool you'd look wearing a pair of those specs and a Hecs suit. Not only would you be able to catch deer with your bare hands, the chicks would really dig you too.
26.) luv2bowhunt - 07/09/2013
Oh how I wish I could back in time and wear them to my kids sporting events. Would have been so worth it to see the humiliation on their faces, seeing me sitting on the bleachers with my zoomies, yelling out their name every 3 minutes.
27.) bluecat - 07/09/2013
Okay Swampy, you owe me 47 seconds of my life back.
28.) Swamp Fox - 07/09/2013
I like how they make every TV a big-screen TV...
29.) bluecat - 07/09/2013

Just google whatever you need, and Wa-La!
