This past Monday an attorney and former assistant TX Atty Gen...and chairman of the Johnson County (TX) Democratic Party...decided it would be a good idea to get liquored up before 9am and then carry a concealed and loaded pistol into the county courthouse, which is illegal even if you have a CHL...which he did not have.

Star-Telegram: Attorney arrested on weapons, intoxication charges at Johnson County courthouse

So in one fell swoop this brilliant attorney managed to pull off:

1) Carrying while intoxicated.
2) Carrying without a CHL.
3) Carrying into a courthouse.

It's human nature to assume that most other people are dumber and more irresonsible than we are, so using himself as a yardstick I can see why folks like him are so terrified at the idea of regular citizens keeping and bearing arms.

“I set the [bail] at $2,000 just because he agreed to go straight to a treatment center,” McBroom said.

Treatment center for what? Alcohol? Poor conceal strategy? Idiocy?

You're not supposed to get drunk until McDonald's stops serving breakfast at 10:30. Everybody knows that.:buds:

And you expect me to stick up for PA politicians in the intelligence department???

There's a better chance the Drury boys will accept my challenge than me sticking up for politicians.

Well, to be honest...I could have cited equally good examples no matter what state you were from.

I'm reserving the really good stuff for a challenge from Ohio.
