Wow, my own birthday thread. Awesome! Thanks for the BD wishes gentlemen. 46 today so the birthday candles may indeed make a dent in the 2 feet of snow outside! As far as the confluence of birthday and valentines day working out well for me, I can only hope so!

Geez, man. He said he was turning 46, not 103.

Well I cleared a major hurdle. The Wifey told me the other day that she had no idea what to get me for my birthday. I told her that's ok, I was thinking of getting a gun. She said "ok" just like that! So I guess that means I can start seriously shopping. I've noticed that aluminum framed commanders are significantly lighter than steel framed (27oz as opposed to 35oz I believe). So I am now considering the Para expert commander as that is the only reasonably priced gun in that category that I can find.

I thought 1911s were supposed to heavy...so they can pull double-duty as as boat anchor, just in case.

Or maybe I'm thinking of Glocks. :p
12.) ARCHERXP - 02/14/2014
happy birthday!
