Alex, can we get the brown background style back??? :-)

Or may be an earthy autumn red or gold...those colors jump out evoke hunting season in my mind, just sayin.
2.) Floyd - 08/08/2014
Brown? What color brown? Can you be more specific? Lot's of brown out there you know. And I'm not talking about light brown or dark brown either.

Are we talking about Chestnut? Like brown eye brown? Or any listed below?

Camel
Mahogany
Buff
Coffee
Chocolate
Fawn
Lion
Liver
Russet

I know, beaver! You want a beaver.
3.) Floyd - 08/08/2014
An inch into a mile.

Wild Bob, ask for a nice picturesque hunting scene in the banner as well. You know, like there used to be. On the old site.

But, be careful. You make it too much like the old site BULLZ-i and his brother Jon and others might come around more often.

Which reminds me, did you run the color thing by Swampy first?
4.) Floyd - 08/08/2014
I know, how about burned roux?

Thanks DP

Awesome. Almost there...just a few more minutes.
6.) Wild Bob - 08/08/2014
You know...just the basic brown that used to be an option would be nice…

This green makes my thoughts careen,
like sweating bullets at the end of a long Tennessee turkey season;
it's much too late by then to slay any gullets,
and you're left thinking of bikinis at the lake rather than spurs, beards and gobbles.

The night option is much too dark and reminds of websites where I aught not go,
The dark color scheme makes me think of things every bit as primal as hunting but much less innocent...

So please, I beg of you good web site master;
consider a color that helps us think of crisp morn, frosty air and the hunter's lair.

And if it is not asking too much; please slip in a little hunting scene for our friend named Floyd. :-)

I like the green screen. Clean, simple. You're no daisy; buck up camper, er, hunter.

Here's more things for you to worry about: Blades sharp? String not too old? No nicks, not too frayed? Flashlight has fresh batteries? Can you still fit in your hunting close? Launcher not going to crap out on you, or your release? Are your boots going to leak on you? Knife sharp? Need a new roll of toilet paper? I don't think the deer like you.
9.) DParker - 08/08/2014
Are your boots going to leak on you?
My boots never leak on me. They know that if they ever did I'd leak on them right back, and that I have the advantage of altitude and the 20 oz coffee I drank on the way to the WMA.
10.) Swamp Fox - 08/08/2014
Don't leak on your boots and tell them it's raining...
Liver!! brown.... my liver is a pickled sunset yellow...
Fixed. :-)
15.) crookedeye - 08/08/2014
like all this talk you have to shoot youre bow 1000 times before hunting season...I take mine out and shoot at a 30 yard target a few times a couple days before season and i'm good to go...i'm like if I can hit a pie plate are just around the perimeter at 30 yards.. theres no stopping me..
16.) crookedeye - 08/09/2014
I mean you no dparker probally takes a couple shots out his back door and considers himself archery ready...then yells at his kid.."where going bowhunting tomorrow"... as he's stirring another muia teguila sunrise.

Here's a fun bit of history: The Sandbar Fight

I recall it as a classic line frequently used by Johnny Carson.
34.) Swamp Fox - 08/10/2014
Bingo! :tu:

That's exactly where it comes from! I can see Johnny saying it right now!

Funny how he made such a dent in people and the culture.

It's never too late to get in shape. That's what I've heard. I think there are some dumbbell exercises you can do in the hills or with stadium steps at that link...Plus they talk about the importance of wiping off your bench before you go to the next machine.
38.) crookedeye - 08/10/2014
