2.) Swamp Fox - 09/16/2014
Any idea where he came from?
3.) Floyd - 09/16/2014
Ranch down the road.

Hunter -

Have bow, will travel

Just saying....

That's pretty neat though.

Keep them pics coming.
4.) Hunter - 09/16/2014
Yep, I'm going elk hunting!
5.) Swamp Fox - 09/16/2014
I figured he didn't just drop out of a space ship. Just wondering if it's known who's missing his elk, or got tired of feeding him, LOL.
6.) Floyd - 09/16/2014
A lot of ranches have non-native Texas species. They get out every so often. He could be from a ranch down the road a piece or took a wrong turn in Albuquerque.
7.) Swamp Fox - 09/16/2014
I'd check down at the Pump N Munch to see if someone put up a flyer...
8.) Floyd - 09/16/2014
9.) DParker - 09/16/2014
Given his goofy rack he might have been kicked out of an exotics ranch.
10.) Floyd - 09/16/2014
Non-affiliated elks fair game?
11.) DParker - 09/16/2014
Non-affiliated elks fair game?
On private land, yes. Except for one small native herd in far West TX elk are legally unprotected exotics, and have the same status as hogs in terms of hunting.
12.) luv2bowhunt - 09/16/2014
They're delicious, especially compared to deer.

I 2nd that! :tu:
14.) Wild Bob - 09/16/2014
Seriously, I was going to ask if elk count...but I didn't want to jinx my efforts! (I'm asking given the fact that I will spend more time bowhunting elk this season than whitetails)
15.) Floyd - 09/16/2014
That's a no brainer WB. Go for the elk. They taste better.

You and Hunter can have a two man contest.

In fact Wild Bob, let's do something wild.....

Wild Bob's Open Elk Contest on hunting country dot com. Just post your elk. Gun, bow, spear, teeth don't matter.

After all, this "Hunting Country" not bow or archery or something limiting Like that. I bet guest are wonder why we don't have other contests. Or have categories; deer with most points taken by pistol for example. Swampy is going to be real busy next season.

18.) Wild Bob - 09/16/2014
