I have my settings for 30 seconds. My Today's Posts screen never seems to update though. I can't speak to other screens updating. Maybe they do, maybe they don't. But I bet they don't.

It was obvious when BC refreshed. I never seem to see it happen here.

Hey Chris we're past the period of time where Alex will respond to us. That was only a 10 day introductory period and now we're on our own.

Come on, you remember how this works. He leaves us alone for years on end and then comes on screaming and yelling 'cause we act like we're on our own.

You'll just have to deal with your issues, maybe he'll hook us up on the next website, Daydream Hunting Country or Sustainable Hunting Country, or Better Housekeeping Hunting Country, or whatever he comes up with next time.:wink

Today's Posts is not the same thing as autorefresh. That's why they are two buttons.

If you are sure that you are on the autorefresh page (you will know because the black bar is at the top with the multiple choices for time) and it still doesnt refresh for you, you could try deleting your cookies for huntingcountry.com and then reseting them.

Its a simple and very old (read compatible) line of code that makes it refresh. Nothing fancy with javasript or anything.

I'll try gobbling some cookies, or whatever.

Is there a page I can sit on and see things auto-refreshing, if it works?

Alex, I'm past that, I think. I've set Auto Refresh for 30 seconds since the site went up, but I think since I sit on Today's Posts a lot, I'm not on the proper page to see AR work.

I'm assuming from what I'm reading here that if I sit on the New Activity screen I'll see something happen (?). I don't think I see AR work on whatever screen it is that puts the latest posts down the right side.

All I know is I seem to have to do a lot of clicking to see if there are any new posts.

Here's what I remember from the old site: there was a page I could sit on and see the topics in a one-line full-screen list, and I could see them updating.

Sorry to make a fuss out of this if I'm missing something simple.

Swampy it sounds like you are getting the home page confused with the search page (the home page is the only one that has the posts down the right side).

If you see this you are not in the right place.

(the home page doesnt reload on its own)

i was just sitting on that page watching it refresh on mac and windows browsers.
If the banners seem to rotate for you on any page, then AR should work because it uses the same line of code to reload the page :-)

And you're not bothering me.. if there is a problem i want to know about it.

I keep loosing air out of the driver side front tire. Can't find a leak and the valve stem is good.
