1.) crookedeye - 08/03/2013
what type of arrows and broadhead will you be using this year? i bought some beaman bonecollectors last year..i think there like 9.0 grains per inch tipped with a nap killzone shooting about 65lbs for whitetail..
you can include size of arrow and which game aniamal you'll be hunting this year..
2.) Hunter - 08/03/2013
The usual............ Montec CS broadheads. I do have some Maxima Blue Streak arrows this year.
3.) Forkie McRut - 08/04/2013
Gold Tip XT Hunters and Easton Axis cut to 27.5" tipped with 100gr Rage 2-blade or Slick Trick Magnums. Seem to alternate between broadheads for no apparent reason other than I like the performance of both.
4.) Triton Rich - 08/04/2013
Victory Vforce HV 337gn tipped with Trufire T1. I went back to my light arrows since I won't be doing any elk hunting this year. I may also try out the Rage Hypodermic.
5.) Deerminator - 08/04/2013
Easton light speed 400's with 125gr 3bld muzzys will be used on deer and anything else that moves.
6.) Ohbuckhunter - 08/04/2013
Cx blue streak 250- victory HV. Broad heads I'm going to use this year are. Shwackers , toxic.
7.) toxophilite - 08/05/2013
goldtip XT hunters cut to 29.25 inches, real 5"feathers,lum-a-nocks and 125gr. 3 blade spitfires :tu: this set up put down a 7pt and a nice doe last year, both passed through and stuck in the ground and with my bad shoulder my bow is set at just 50lbs

We were just talking about the Toxics in the Official Broadhead Thread.

Okay, we were talking about them for a post or two. The point is: Where were you then? :wink

I will be shooting some Blue Streaks from the Strother SX Rush...My Mathews bows and the Strother SX-1 are all set up for my trusty Beman ICS Hunters. Except for the Legacy, which is rocking some 2314 XX78s. ;)

I expect I will shoot the Rush mainly, and I have Montecs on it. Various Mathews are in uneven stages of transition from Stinger 2-blades to Stinger 4-blades. The SX-1 shoots the best Tekans they ever made but decided to stop producing for some reason, so those BH's are being saved for special occasions.
9.) bluecat - 08/06/2013
Carbon Express Maxima Hunters cut to 29 1/4". Magnus 4-blade Stinger (125 grain). If I remember correctly the whole shooting match is 460 grains. Blazers vanes with helical twist and a wrap.

Still wanting to try out the Magnus Snuffer if and when I sell some slings to you goobers.

That's a blast from the past, XX 78's. Does that have an overdraw on it too?:wink

I'll be using the old faithful Easton Axis with Magnus Stingers. Mostly I just carry them around in the quiver and then take them out at the end of the season.

Hey Swampy I'll trade you some Brut for those XX78's. I'll throw in a rubiks cube.

No overdraw...TM Hunter!

No, seriously, Whisker Biscuit.

I heard that if you lightly coat your broadheads with Vaseline, they won't rust...I'm glad to hear you're taking good care of your equipment! :wink

I really like my XX78's. One of these days another hog is gonna be in the right place at the wrong time...

Plus they match my bow...

I also have some in a Predator camo, but those are just too pretty to shoot...

Whenever I really like something, they stop making it.

:p

Sounds like happy hour at Applebees to me.

Good luck Swampy. Make me proud.
19.) DParker - 08/06/2013
I'll be not killing any deer with the same Gold Tip XT Hunters and G5 Montec CSs that I managed to not kill any deer with last year. Why mess with success?

I can't give very much insight on them besides they fly pretty good. I will take a doe/yote with one. If I have one nocked and a buck comes in I wouldn't hesitate to take the shot.
21.) Swamp Fox - 08/06/2013
I'd like to see how they do.

Magnus Snuffer! Magnus Snuffer?!!

I'd buy one from you except I have one or two looking for bows to go on as it is...LOL

I know Luv2's gonna need one for the Creed he's gonna buy...So you should stay on his tail til he gets up off that wallet he's sitting on so tight...
23.) bluecat - 08/06/2013
Luv2 will need a crowbar for sure.

I had slings for the contest winners from the previous contest but no one ever got back to me. Maybe I should have paid them to take them.
24.) Swamp Fox - 08/06/2013
I'd blame OHBH...He was in charge of that whole thing...

He's probably friended them all on FaceBook, though, so put him to work...

In the meantime, I'll make a note to have this year's contest administrator's people get in touch with your marketing people and see what they can work out....
25.) luv2bowhunt - 08/07/2013
I'm leaning heavy towards the Bowtech Insanity. Just sayin'.:wink

It's the speed isn't it? Now people are gonna accuse you of not caring how quiet and accurate it is and only how fast it is. Of course, I'm sure it's quiet and accurate too but you know how it is!

Thanks...We're gonna need someone, 'cause I'm just here to draw the teams and pump up the excitement...

:cf:

Rather than hijack this thread, I'll start another one where we can discuss.
