Finally! Now Montanans can put roadkill to use.

This legislation has been a long time coming:

NEW RULE I [12.3.186] SALVAGE PERMITS (1) A deer, elk, moose, or antelope accidentally killed as a result of a vehicle collision may be salvaged and possessed if a permit is obtained from a peace officer,.....

I can see the forum debates now...

"Which do you prefer for taking down large elk? Ford F-350, or Dodge Ram 3500?"
3.) luv2bowhunt - 12/03/2013
Ewww, antelope is gross. Let them lay, pick up the elk or moose.
4.) Wild Bob - 12/04/2013
Those are expensive critters when you hit one... And I'd hate to crumple my old truck, or scratch the finish my push bumper, which costs more than my whole truck! LOL

But it sucked seeing everything just lay and go to waste in the ditch. At least now, some of it should go to good use.
